Rob was invited by Barclays to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates to help promote the Barclays Premiership Trophy which was on tour for a week.

Rob and the trophy visited, schools, shopping malls, hotels and was a massive hit with everyone who came into contact with it.

It then moved across to Dubai where it seemed to have a magical presence with the public from the normal person in the street to the ruling Sheiks of the Emirates.

Rob along with football legend John Barnes followed the trophy throughout its tour and felt a fabulous connection with the trophy itself.

“John was great to work with and we had a great time talking and listening to some of the wonderful stories of his fantastic playing career during the trophy’s journeys and in the hotel on the evenings.”

A great experience was had not just being with the trophy and John but the interaction with the kids in the schools, demonstrating for the people in the streets and malls who all had one thing in common, the love of football.

Rob has since been back to Dubai for various soccer events including the Annual Soccer ex - Exhibition
